Student Handbook & Policies

Our comprehensive Student Handbook contains the complete Policies and Procedures Manual, providing detailed information about all aspects of your learning experience with Noble X Training.

This handbook is available to all students, both prospective and enrolled, and a copy is provided to each student prior to enrollment to ensure full transparency of our policies and procedures.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the personal information necessary to deliver our training and administrative services, including:

  • Contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
  • Course registration and enrolment details
  • Payment and billing details
  • Unique student identifiers (e.g. USI)
  • Sensitive information (with consent), such as health, disability status, or background
  • Website usage data and communication preferences

Students are informed at the time of collection about how and why their information is being collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Register students for training and issue nationally recognised qualifications
  • Comply with legislative and regulatory requirements (e.g. AVETMISS, VET Quality Framework)
  • Process payments and manage enrolments
  • Communicate course-related updates or legal obligations
  • Maintain records for compliance, auditing, and quality assurance
  • Improve service delivery and support

We only use information for the purpose it was collected unless legally required or you provide additional consent.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Disclosure is limited to:

  • Regulatory bodies (e.g. ASQA, NCVER) for compliance and reporting
  • Parents/guardians of students under 18 (with consent)
  • Government departments as required under law
  • Service providers under strict confidentiality
  • Only with your written consent unless otherwise required by law

4. Data Security

We apply strict measures to protect personal information against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.

Confidential records are securely stored and destroyed after the required retention period (minimum seven years). Destruction is authorised in writing and carried out securely (e.g. shredding).

If Noble X ceases operations, records are transferred to ASQA per government guidelines.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to ensure accuracy
  • Request deletion where lawful and practical
  • Interact anonymously where appropriate
  • Opt-out of marketing communications at any time

6. Marketing and Communication

You may receive course-related or promotional communications from us. You can opt out of marketing at any time through unsubscribe links or by contacting us directly. We comply with:

7. Legislative Compliance

We comply with all relevant laws including:

  • Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
  • Standards for RTOs 2025
  • National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011
  • AVETMISS data collection standards
  • Other applicable state and federal education and privacy laws

Staff are trained on compliance during induction and kept up to date through meetings, documentation, and online legal resources (e.g. AustLII).

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of our services, including course enrolment, training participation, and website use. By accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Course Registration and Payment

  • Enrolment is confirmed upon meeting course prerequisites and receiving full payment
  • Course fees are outlined transparently prior to enrolment and may vary by location
  • Noble X reserves the right to reschedule or cancel courses where necessary
  • Students must provide accurate information and maintain up-to-date contact details

2. Certification

  • Statements of Attainment are issued upon successful completion of all assessment and course requirements
  • Certification may take up to 10 business days following course completion
  • Requests for replacement certificates may incur an administration fee

3. Intellectual Property

All training content, including assessments, presentations, and handouts, remains the intellectual property of Noble X. Materials must not be copied, distributed, or reused without prior written permission.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Students are expected to demonstrate professional behaviour and mutual respect at all times
  • Misconduct may result in removal from the class without refund
  • Plagiarism, including the use of AI-generated responses in assessments, is strictly prohibited

5. Student Support and Responsibilities

  • Noble X provides a range of support services to assist students with their learning needs
  • Students are expected to engage in all scheduled activities and complete assessments on time
  • Students must not falsely present work as their own and must comply with all assessment rules

6. Refunds and Cancellations

  • Refunds are granted in accordance with the Refund Policy outlined in the Student Handbook
  • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing
  • Noble X may withhold refunds in cases of late cancellation or student misconduct

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Noble X is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses related to training or service use. While we strive for accuracy and service quality, we do not guarantee employment outcomes following course completion.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy outlines the conditions under which students may be eligible for a refund of course fees. By enrolling in a course with Noble X, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

  • A full refund will be provided if Noble X cancels a course and the student does not wish to transfer to an alternative date
  • If a student withdraws at least 7 days prior to the course start date, a refund may be granted minus a small administrative fee
  • No refund is issued for non-attendance, late cancellations, or withdrawals within 7 days of the course start date

2. Request Process

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]
  • Requests must include the student's name, course, reason for withdrawal, and proof of payment
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date of approval

3. Course Transfers

  • In lieu of a refund, students may request to transfer to a different course date (subject to availability)
  • Transfer requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the original course date
  • Only one transfer is allowed per enrolment unless exceptional circumstances apply

4. Exceptional Circumstances

  • Refunds or transfers requested due to serious illness, emergency, or other extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Supporting documentation may be required (e.g. medical certificate)

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • No refund is available once a certificate has been issued
  • Fees paid for online-only courses or partially completed training are generally non-refundable
  • Any materials, licensing fees, or third-party costs incurred on behalf of the student are also non-refundable
